WA Pros vs CBU Pros: Let the Match Begin

Because the list is so extensive, I will only compare my top three pros for each.

WA: Top Three ProsBoxing Gloves

  • Try It Free: For the first 7 days, you will have access to a multitude of resources offered at WA, and after that, you can can still maintain a free account with access to the first text/video training series from two separate courses.

You can also build and manage two websites with your free account. No Financial Information Needed to Join.

  • 100s of Hours of Content: The training is all focused toward affiliate marketing and SEO (non-paid traffic), plus, everything is organized in a step by step format with goals to accomplish before moving on to the next step.
  • Jaaxy Lite: WA premium members will have access to Jaaxy Lite, and it’s one of the most powerful SEO keyword research tools online.

CBU: Top Three Pros

  • 30 Day Money Back Guarantee: If within you first 30 days, you find yourself unhappy with the service, you can get a full refund with no questions asked.
  • Facebook: CBU members will enjoy a private Facebook support group with like-minded individuals to help with any challenges that you may have.
  • CBU Affiliate: ClickBank University has a very lucrative affiliate program that pays commissions as high as 75%. You do not have to sign up for CBU to promote this service.

Note: I should mention that WA has a very lucrative affiliate program as well, and it is also free to promote and earn commissions from. I just felt that this was less important than my top three picks, but still worth an honorable mention.

WA Cons vs CBU ConsMan Boxer

WA Cons:

  • Free Websites Time Limit: When you sign up for a free account at Wealthy Affiliate, you can create two absolutely free websites to get started online. This is meant to give you an idea of what’s necessary to make it in the online world. It’s a great option to see if this is for you and get a feel of what it’s like to create your own website from the ground up.

While being given two free websites is nice, my problem is with the lack of transparency surrounding the length of time that you can keep these sites free of charge.

Here’s what I mean and why it bothers me: Wealthy Affiliate has a program specifically geared toward promoting Wealthy Affiliate. It’s called the affiliate bootcamp, and it’s one of the two courses you gain access to with the free membership.

It is mentioned several times, that getting two free websites is a big deal to potential visitors looking to get started online. It’s a selling point, because, it is a great deal. You can try before you buy, with no obligations.

However: These free websites come with a time limit that many are not aware of. This leads to false advertising from some members who recommend Wealthy Affiliate, and I have fallen victim to this myself. While it is entirely possible that it was mentioned during the training (there is too much to remember everything on the first go), and it is not mentioned during some other key areas during the training.

For Example: When Kyle is training members on some of the best selling points about Wealthy Affiliate that will offer value to the visitor, he does mention the try before you buy model and getting the free websites, but there is no reminder or mention of the fact that you can only keep the free sites active for six months before you will need to upgrade to a premium membership.

As I said, it’s possible that it was mentioned early on in the affiliate program, and I just didn’t remember. I do know that it wasn’t mentioned in some of the later training when members would have a better grasp on what they are doing and I think it should be mentioned whenever the two free sites are referenced.

It makes sense that they wouldn’t offer free websites to everyone to keep forever just for signing up to a free membership. That could be a large burden to the system and take away from the user experience of paying members, not to mention, that six months is more than enough time to decide if you really want to make money online with your own affiliate website.

This may not be a huge deal but it’s easy to miss this critical info, especially for a newbie who thinks that they can keep their free site forever, just to get six months into before being given the choice between quit or upgrade.

Next up.

  • Only Supports English: While this doesn’t affect me directly because English is my native language and the only one I know fluently, I can see this being a barrier to entry for others who may not speak it.

Aside from possibly finding a bilingual member of the community who is willing to mentor someone threw the entire course (unlikely, but nothing is impossible), It would be very difficult for any non English-speaking individuals to participate and succeed through the WA training.

  • Content: This one can be bitter sweat and is both a pro and con. There is so much content offered at WA, if you stray from the training, you may become overwhelmed with the extensive knowledge at your fingertips.

It’s important to stick to the training until you have a firm grasp on the basic concepts, and to take things at your own pace. Don’t rush the process, success is built over time and through constant learning.

CBU Cons:Boxer Down For The Count

  • Outdated: The affiliate training is notorious for having outdated content. Considering that the focus of ClickBank University is to teach others how to create and sell their own digital products on the ClickBank marketplace, it’s no surprise that the affiliate program is being neglected.

Market trends and the internet in general are changing so often that it is important to have the most up to date and accurate info when creating your business. Outdated tactics will leave you with hours gone and nothing to show for it.

  • No Free Trial: Once upon a time, you would have had the opportunity to try their services for free without the need of any financial info. That is no longer the case. Now the only option is to accept a 30-day money back guarantee.

This means you will be paying upfront and have to go through their sales process where you will be hit with multiple upsells on products they didn’t mention previously. If you opt out, then you will likely be waiting an undisclosed amount of time for your money to be returned.

  • Upsells: As I just mentioned, you will be hit with some up sales that they don’t mention in the initial sales video. To add salt to the wound, one of the up sales is the ClickBank Builder, and it’s a strong focus of their training program.

They essentially make it a necessity for you to purchase an upsell that they didn’t even mention before. It’s not a cheap tool for the average beginner either, weighing in at $594 or two payments of $297.

What Else is Worth Noting

Here are just a few more things to consider before making a decision between the two. Check out the difference in the level of service.

By now, I imagine that you are starting to see the big picture here. WA is the winner in my book over and over again. The, step by step, take you by the hand training is optimal for beginners.

Even experts could learn something from weekly live seminars or classrooms and the community is always active and happy to lend a helping hand. They have hundreds of hours of training content at an affordable rate and your not forced into any undisclosed up sales.

In fact, they are giving you so many resources to help you build a successful online business, that you may wonder why anyone would choose CBU over WA.

I think the answer to that is because ClickBank does have Wealthy Affiliate beat in one area, hands down. That area is an affiliate marketplace that is easy to search and one of the largest in the world. The marketplace is full of vendors looking for affiliates to promote their products/services. Many of these vendors are there as a result of the CBU vendor training.

You could utilize both the WA affiliate training and the CB marketplace for their strengths. By putting both of these together, you will have a massive wealth of knowledge and an extremely abundant pool of affiliate programs.

You won’t need CBU to promote the products/services from the ClickBank marketplace.

Wrapping Up:Boxer Victory

If your anything like I was, you want to make some changes in your life financially and maybe transform yourself into a trusted business owner with a brand that you can be proud of.

You can’t afford to waste time on training that doesn’t work, or invest money on a system that your not confident will give you the desired results for your online business.

If you’re reading this review, then just as I did, your doing your due diligence by researching the options, and in doing so, your well on your way to creating that successful online business.

There are many paths that you can take to reach your destination, but only a few that can help you travel in comfort by removing so many obstacles in the way.

Wealthy Affiliate has it all in one place, and as a bonus, I’ll be waiting on you to JOIN US so that I can personally help you get started on this journey.

  1. For what is worth doing, I cannot ever rate clickbank above wealthy Affiliate. Though clickbank does offer everything needed to get started online too but then, wealthy Affiliate is above them in all sphere. They work distinctly well and they are pretty much exceptional at training and support. The website hosting and the research tools are all marvelous. Joining wealthy affiliate has been great for me so far and I hope it will keep being like that. Thanks for the  juxtaposition between the two

    • Thanks for reading and I’m glad we agree.

I can’t rank ClickBank above Wealthy Affiliate either. I’m sure your stay at WA will continue to be a great experience as it is for so many others, myself included. I was happy to write this comparison for Wealthy Affiliate vs ClickBank University, and I’m glad to see so many people enjoying the content and finding the info they need about each platform.

      To Your Success,

      Darren

  2. Both your reviews are very broad. I didn’t know before that clickbank also had a university. It’s very cool to learn that here though. Bother wealthy affiliate and click bank University have their own pros and cons. I think I really need to test clickbank though although to me, wealthy affiliate won especially since they have free membership. Thank you for sharing your info in this post.

    • Thanks for reading.

Yes there is a ClickBank University and yes ClickBank and Wealthy Affiliate have their own pros and cons, but WA is the winner for me as well. Testing ClickBank is not a bad option, it’s just not my preferred option, but everybody is different. What works best for me may not be best for you. Only you can make that decision but you are on the right track  by doing your research.

      To Your Success,

      Darren

  3. Actually am a member of wealthy affiliate program and I really love it because it has given me the freedom that i have always hoped for. I like the wealthy affiliate community the most because they are more available than google when you need help and Click bank doesn’t have a live chat which means if I got stuck, then that’s a problem. Click Bank also has alot of fraud cases from the members so I’d rather stick with Wealthy affiliate. Thanks for the review, it made me realise how lucky i am to be part of WA.

    • Thanks for reading

Happy to prove your decision to join WA was a wise one. I really can’t say enough about the quality and value that these guys deliver across the board.

      To Your Success,

      Darren

  4. Hi thank you for this awesome post.
I am with Wealthy Affiliate and it is one of the best decision I have made this year. The community to me is second to none and the step by step training as really helped me to not only get indexed in google but also get ranked first page.
I highly recommend Wealthy Affiliate anyday anytime.
ClickBank university? I will need to look into it a little more. Although I still have the feeling I will get all I need from Wealthy Affiliate.

    Regards!

    • Thanks for reading and your welcome.

Wealthy Affiliate has also helped me get indexed and ranked on the first page. In fact, this very article is ranked on the first page of Google. Just do a quick search for ClickBank University vs Wealthy Affiliate, Wealthy Affiliate vs ClickBank, or any number of related search phrases and you will find my site there on the first page. That is proof in itself that the training from WA works, and this is just one of several articles that have ranked that well. (They can’t all be winners I guess).

If you would like to see a little more about ClickBank, check out this review and let me know what you think.

  5. Indeed both wealthy affiliate and clickbank University offer great package and they are amazing platform to venture into. I got awareness about the two platform virtually almost at the same time. But I decided to take a tour through wealthy affiliate to gain experience about affiliate marketing and raise funds and maybe think of creating my own product on clickbank.

    • Thanks for reading.

Sounds like you have a good plan in place to take your online presence in the right direction. Wealthy Affiliate will give you the knowledge, and ClikcBank University is a viable option if you can already afford the up front investment and your looking to create your own digital products.

      To Your Success,

      Darren

  6. A really nice review you have done on these two and I must admit I’m a fan of both, except for the idea of upsell that is available in clickbank, which is a big turn off for me. However I’m a going with wealthy affiliate because it grooms you from the scratch and gives every detail you’ll need as you go on, as well as tools to help you build your site. Nice being here.

    • Wealthy Affiliate is the clear choice in my mind and I think you making a great decision to join us. Don’t forget, that I’ll be inside the platform if you ever need the help. Just shoot me a message and I’ll show you the way if I can. WA offers you everything you need for sure. If you would like to check out some more info about it, check out my dedicated review of Wealthy Affiliate here.

      To Your Success,

  7. I have been a member of Wealthy Affiliate for five years now and I never knew that there was a time limit on the free websites. I always thought they were for as long as you were running them. However, I upgraded a week into the program as I saw the value of this and have never looked back.

Clickbank products give a marketer great commissions, so I decided to try the Clickbank University but gave up after two months as the training was delivered too slowly for my liking and I found the platform a bit expensive.

I am not sure about you, but I find it more difficult to sell Clickbank products than any of the other products out there.

    • Thanks for reading, and I do agree to an extent.

ClickBank products can be tough to promote depending on the product and you knowledge about it. I see other gurus teaching people how to sell any ClickBank product and make crazy commissions but how many of those gurus actually know the product their selling. Many affiliate marketers followed gurus into selling Teds Woodworking courses and that turned out to be a sham. Even ClickBank promoted that product because the commissions were so high and it was converting like crazy, but the product was outed as a scam later on.

If you take your time, learn about the products being offered so you can promote them properly (meaning you will stand behind it), then you can make it big selling products from ClickBanks marketplace. Their marketplace is what they are most well know for in the affiliate world, and there are some hidden gems in there.

As to the time limit on the Wealthy Affiliate free websites, I am not surprised that you were unaware (even after 5 years), as this is almost never advertised anywhere. I don’t like that it’s hidden, but as I said in the post, I do believe it makes good business sense to have it that way.

Lastly, I upgraded within the first week as well because of the crazy value being offered by Wealthy Affiliate.

      To Your Success,

      Darren

  8. Well, this was an interesting read here. I found it really interesting finding the difference between wealthy affiliate and Clickbank university and thanks to your article, now I know a bit more about both of them. I really liked how you went to the details and didn´t put anything out. I use WA and I also think it is a good one to have around. Thanks again

    • Thanks for reading, and I’m glad you enjoyed it.

I always try to get to the details that others leave out. Transparency is a great thing in my mind and I enjoy revealing the hidden truths or breaking the information down so everyone can get the bigger picture. I feel it’s important to cover the details honestly every time. Misrepresenting anything is a recipe for disaster because the truth will always come out in the end, and that’s why I’m confident and stand behind what I say. Wealthy Affiliates training is the better option when compared to ClickBank, hands down.

      To Your Success,

      Darren

  9. I must confess that I didn’t know so much about the click bank universuty until I read what you have written here. I am a member of wealthy affiliate and why you have written here is nothing but the truth. I think why I would pick wa above cbu is that wa has a free membership that runs till whenever and it is really good but then there’s no lectures there and that’s one thing that made me move up. Nice post you have here.

    • Thanks for reading and I’m happy you agree that Wealthy Affiliate beats out ClickBank University. The free trial is definitely a great option for beginners looking to get started on a budget and there are no obligations. You don’t even need credit card info which is unheard of in this industry. True try before you buy, and offering value at every turn.

      To Your Success,

      Darren

  10. Great comparison review. Before I joined Wealthy Affiliate (WA) I looked into ClickBank University (CBU) as well as Affilorama (AR) and Solo Build It (SBI). The number one reason why I chose WA over all others was the 100% Free Starter Membership & that I didn’t have to give ANY financial or personal information to join other than an email address.

Once inside WA I realized right away how up-to-date the training was and totally amazed at how much was offered for free. Even though I did stay a free member for 30 days before I decided to upgrade to Premium and get my first month discounted to $19, I wanted to see how far I could go as a free member with my free websites.

During that time and until this day 6 years later as a very happy member, no, there is no mention of the six month limit for keeping your free website. Personally I think six months is very generous. If you cannot make a decision to stay or leave within six months, then your joining was only as a curiosity seeker and not as a person serious about starting a business.

However it is nice to read these comparisons between ClickBank University vs Wealthy Affiliate. Whether it be outdated content, having to pay to start the training, or upsells that the other training platforms have, WA is a breath of fresh air. I will be the first to say that Wealthy Affiliate is not perfect, but compared to the other options available WA is TOPS!

    • Thanks for reading Robert.

I also looked into all of those platforms, and I got lucky to stumble across Wealthy Affiliate, as the free starter membership was also the main selling point for me at first. Just like you, I was amazed at the value being offered, however, I didn’t wait to upgrade to premium. I upgraded within the first 7 days to get the first month at $19. I wanted to get deep into the training and gain full access asap, and I’m never turning back.

I agree completely that the six month time limit, for the two free websites that members get for signing up to a free account, is very generous and more than enough for anyone to make a firm decision. My real issue with this limit, was the lack of transparency around it, and the fact that it could easily lead members to falsely advertise WA as offering two free websites for life.

It is logical to expect that you could not keep them free forever, however, the time limit is not mentioned, therefore it is possible for beginners to assume that they are getting them free forever. It’s not a huge issue, I just prefer the transparency, and find that being straight up front and honest about every aspect you can, will lead to a better user experience in the long run. I don’t want to give any misconceptions or false information about a product that I support.

I really appreciate you talking the time to read my article comparing these two platforms. For those who may be reading these comments, Robert is a very established and respected member within the WA community, and I have mentioned his training inside of my Ultimate Wealthy Affiliate Review. If you would like to check it out, click here, and see the WA complaint #5.

      Thanks again Robert

      To Your Success,

      Darren

  11. Thanks for taking your time to review these two  platforms. I have no deep idea about the click bank university but I know of a friend who ones told me that they are not reliable and therefore shouldn’t be tried . I’m glad I am reading this review to know more about it. I have  choose wealthy affiliate for a while now and I have been enjoying the platform without any complain. Thanks for this educating and enlightening  review.

  12. i know so much about wealthy affiliate now even though I knew so little when I started, WA is preferable to any other because of its cheap and benefiting market. Also jaaxy lite will be made available to WA premium members and jaaxy is one Is one of the vest keywords research tool online. Although CBU has its own pros but i still prefer the offer of Wealthy Affiliate because I’ve tried it and it was really nice. Its really not going to be good experience for a beginner joining the CBU because their affiliate training is filled with outdated contents. I enjoyed reading through this post and I see it as very useful and educating. I like it.

    • Thanks for reading

Wealthy Affiliate is, and will continue to be, my top choice as well. CBU would be bad news for a beginner who doesn’t realize that they are learning tactics that could potentially ruin their chances of success online. I expect they will eventually update this training series at some point, and then I’ll re-evaluate to see what improvements were made and if the value is there.

      To Your Success,

      Darren

  13. Hi Darren very detailed and thorough review and comparison!

I’ve never heard of the clickbank university, from what I gathered in the article, it sounds like something that teaches you to sell your products online, where WA teaches you how to market and promote products online. And I would definitely put the WA community as one the top 3 pros, they are so encouraging and supportive and come up with so much additional resources for members.

Thanks for the review, keep up the good work!

    • Thanks for reading

You understood correctly. ClickBank University will teach you how to create and sale your own products, while Wealthy Affiliate teaches you how to sell other peoples products as an affiliate. As I mentioned throughout the article, CBU’s affiliate training is sub-par, especially compared to WA’s affiliate training. The idea of this article was to highlight the difference between ClickBank University versus Wealthy Affiliate, and I’m glad that the message was well received. ClickBank is not a bad platform entirely, just not a great solution for affiliate training.

      To Your success,

      Darren

  14. There are many platforms out there similar to Wealthy Affiliate but so far none from the ones I have seen offer such a complete package as WA does. I mean you get everything together and you need absolutely nothing else in order to keep you going and maintaining a successful website. The training, the support, writing tools, community, excellent hosting and keyword research tools all placed together. And if you can get a good deal like Black Friday for me personally it’s a no brainer. I would choose WA anytime.

    • You are absolutely right about that. I often say Wealthy Affiliate is a one stop shop for everything affiliate marketing and they offer the most value for your money. For anyone who is serious about learning how to become an affiliate marketer and make money online as an affiliate, WA is the top choice in my book hands down. It’s even better if you can get in during the black Friday event, but even at the regular membership cost, it’s well worth the investment.

      Thanks for reading

      To Your Success,

      Darren

  15. Having signed up for Wealthy Affiliate a couple of months ago, I keep coming across promotions for ClickBank. This is the first article I’ve found that directly compares the two and your thorough and honest review makes it easy for me to see that I made the right choice with WA rather than CBU. Really helpful article, thank you.

    • You are very welcome and I’m glad that you were able to see that WA is the right choice for affiliate marketing training. I feel it’s important for everyone to understand the difference between the two platforms and know what to expect from each before signing up.

ClickBank is a good option if you are looking to sell your own products as a vendor, or if your looking to create a digital product to sell online. When it comes to affiliate marketing training however, Wealthy Affiliate wins that battle every time. I did tend to use ClickBank for their massive affiliate marketplace, but WA now has that covered as well with their undated affiliate program search. They do everything to ensure they are a one stop shop for everything affiliate marketing.

      To Your Success,

      Darren

  16. What a fantastic comparison you made here, Darren!  Wealthy Affiliate truly outclasses ClickBank.  I tend to look at WA this way: it’s for people who want to commit and work hard to establish an online business.  It’s also about learning and mastering the fundamentals of online marketing.  But what I find interesting is ClickBank’s audacity to upsell so much even though most of their methods are outdated. It’s great that you differentiated the two so people are more aware of what WA is all about.

    • Thank You for reading and I’m happy you enjoyed it.

Wealthy Affiliate does outclass ClickBank when it comes to affiliate marketing training. They are very up front and honest about the fact that they do not offer a done for you system. You must put in the work and build it yourself but they are happy to guide you along the path to your eventual success online.

I feel that is one of the reasons that the try before you buy offer is so appealing. Anyone who is unsure but still wants to at least try, can do so with spending a dime. This affords many the opportunity to start an online business, who may otherwise have not been able to afford such a commitment they were unsure of. There are no obligations or required up-sells inside WA, so you don’t feel pressured to spend more money to reach the overall goal of success online.

As far as the audacity of ClickBank to up-sell so much with outdated training, I would agree that this could be a big problem for them in the future. I would be extremely upset to buy into the ClickBank University 2.0 affiliate training, purchase all those up-sells, and then realize that the training is not current to the changed market.

For those who realize to late, that they have got a bad deal with outdated tactics, they will loose out on the refund and ClickBank wins while the user loses. I mentioned in the article that I found their tactics a bit shady and scamy, and I can’t say for sure that they are taking advantage of people like this, but I wouldn’t suggest that they wouldn’t either.

I believe in win win scenarios for both parties and feel that any company, online or not, should have that mindset at the core of their business model. Win Win. Help Others Help You.

      Thanks again.

      To Your Success,

      Darren

  17. Excellent review on the comparison of both wealthy affiliate and clickbanks University. Wealthy affiliate attained their excellent status from me simply because it is beginners friendly. Many affiliate marketer got exposed to the tips on how to blog and at thesame time become an affiliate marketers. Their free trial is another merit and the motivation from the platform is another golden opportunity.  Clickbanks gained their popularity simply because they have many high commission products one can do affiliate marketing or.

All thesame, the two platform as been an amazing platform I have ever seen. But based on my ranking, wealthy affiliate leads while clickbanks follow

    • Thank You for reading and you are absolutely right.

Wealthy Affiliate is well known for being beginner friendly across the board. Everything from start to finish is covered about creating an affiliate business online. From the step by step training, video tutorials, community, and everything in between, WA caters to the beginner while still offering value to the experienced.

ClickBank is well renown for their affiliate marketplace or directory of affiliate products from their own platform. Many of the products found within the ClickBank marketplace are a result of their vendor training, and many go on to make substantial gains in the market.

I’m glad you enjoyed my comparison of ClickBank vs Wealthy Affiliate. Hope to see you back soon absorbing more helpful info from The Affiliate Pathway.

      To Your Success,

      Darren

  18. Great information! Thank you for putting this together. You’ve done a good job of providing a detailed review of wealthy affiliate and click bank university. I am choosing wa because of:
    1. Affordable price for starter which is $19 for first month and
    2. Lite access to SEO keyword research tools online.

With wa my financial freedom is sure. Thanks for this post

    • Thank You for reading and I’m glad it helped you make a decision.

Those are both great reasons to choose Wealthy Affiliate over ClickBank. Even after the first month membership fees, the price vs value received from WA is well worth it, and just the experience from learning online marketing could  pay major dividends in the future.

If you follow the step by step training through to completion, and put everything to work that you are taught on the WA platform, then your financial freedom will be within arms reach if not exceeded. Just remember that it takes time to grow an online business and it wont happen overnight. If you would like to learn more about the time commitment required to see success online, you should read this article on how long it takes to become a full time blogger.

  19. Hi, Darren.
Thanks for your review of Clickbank University Vs Wealthy Affiliate – based on the training aspect.
It was great to find them both on the same platform as both the systems are too popular among success seekers. Though I could not go to the CBU platform till now due to overwhelming  support and tasks of WA (Ha Ha I am Premium here), its not a regret now as I could sense the Pros and cons through your review. Thanks again.
    Warm Regards,

    • Hi Gaurav Gaur and Thank You for reading.

I’m glad that you enjoyed this and also happy to hear that you are already a premium member at Wealthy Affiliate. Premium membership gives you access to the knowledge you need to create a successful online business with affiliate marketing. I am sure that if you stick with the training and put in the hard work, you will see ample success for yourself online.

You made the right choice by choosing WA and you didn’t miss much from the ClickBank affiliate training. However, once you have learned how to make money online, you could utilize the ClickBank vendor training to create your own digital products helping others do the same. I wouldn’t suggest the up-sells unless you have money to throw at it, but either way, ClickBank does have its uses.

      To Your Success,

      Darren

  20. Hi

Thanks for sharing such an important and informative post with us about clickbank vs wealthyaffiliate. I am very interested in learning about each of these affiliate training programs individually. I have read the top 3 pros and cons of each, and Wealthy Affiliate makes it easy to get the help I needed. I prefer it to clickbank any day.

Thanks again. I’ll share this post with my friends and family.

    • Thank You and you are very welcome.

Wealthy Affiliate dominates the affiliate training space and ClickBank is better suited for creating your own digital products. If you have a wealth of knowledge on a particular topic, then the ClickBank vendor training may be a good fit for you. Otherwise, if you are just looking to start affiliate marketing, then WA is the place to be.

      To Your Success,

      Darren

  21. Thank you for comparing these two systems. I never knew much about ClickBank University. The thing I didn’t like about ClickBank was that they wanted my Social Security number before I even made any money. So that’s what I associated with ClickBank University and I didn’t want to try it out. With wealthy affiliate I didn’t have to give them too much personal information just to sign up.

So right now I am doing wealthy affiliate. So far it’s going along okay and I feel like I know what I’m doing in terms of keywords and of course the keyword tool that wealthy affiliate gives you seems very helpful so that’s a good thing.

It seems like both of them have pros and cons and that’s going to be true of pretty much anything. My plan is just to do the best I can with wealthy affiliate and see how it goes. Thanks again for this comparison article it was very well written and easy to understand.

    • Thank You for reading and, as always, I’m glad you enjoyed it.

The fact that you can sign up to Wealthy Affiliate for free without giving away that personal information is one of many reasons why they are the better option. I am always sketchy about giving out my social to anything online, even the .gov websites. LOL

I’m glad to hear that you’re already on your way inside Wealthy Affiliate and the Jaaxy keyword tool will definitely help you along the way. If you would like to read some more about it, I have a review that covers many features of Jaaxy in depth, it’s worth the read if your still learning what all it has to offer and how to use it.

You are right about the pros and cons of Wealthy Affiliate vs ClickBank. There is no such thing as a perfect platform but WA does hit the high notes very well and really delivers the value for your investment.

You are very welcome for this article and I’m happy you enjoyed it.

      To Your Success,

  22. Hello
I must say that this article is very useful

We deal with WA for three months and is very easy to use especially for beginners like me, you have the ability to manage multiple blogs and one very important tool Jaaxy Lite (one of the most powerful SEO keyword search tools online).

In the chart you mentioned I believe it says all about the many positive elements that WA has from ClickBank

Thanks for sharing these helpful tips, I definitely learned something new.

    • Thanks for reading

The point of this articles was to be informative about the differences in affiliate training in regards to Wealthy Affiliate vs ClickBank. There many searching for quality affiliate marketing training programs and I feel that WA will beat ClickBank every time. CBU 2.0 is more about creating your own digital products and they do a good job of that, but they just can’t touch the Wealthy Affiliate affiliate training courses.

I’m glad you were able to learn something new with this article. That means I’m doing my job and helping others.

      To Your Success,

      Darren

  23. Darren, I like to read these reviews because I can get a an informed opinion on these platforms which would definitely help me who just recently started my online career. The biggest turn off for me with the Clickbank platform besides the pay to start requirement, is the fact that their information is not up to date. Can you imagine how much of a disadvantage that is for a newbie? Thank you for your review with the details so well presented.

    • Thank You for reading and I’m happy to help.

The fact that the ClickBank affiliate training is outdated is a huge disadvantage for any beginners. The online marketing world is changing all the time. I wouldn’t expect any company to redo their entire training series with every new update as they would never stop replacing it, however I don’t feel that it’s unreasonable to have it updated, or at the very least noted every couple of years or so.

Just adding notes to the current training and saying “x,y,z has changed some and this is the best method going forward”, would be better than just leaving it as is. This could be especially harmful to a beginner if they were unintentionally being taught black hat methods that are no longer valid, and put the new user at risk of destroying their hard work before it’s even started.

I thank you again for reading and come back anytime to see my latest articles and let me know how I’m doing.

      To Your Success,

      Darren

  24. Hi Darren,

Wealthy Affiliate seems a good start for a beginner like me since the price is more reasonable with all the advantages mentioned in your article, including Jaaxy – the powerful keywords search platform.

I love the ideas that you compare wealthy affiliate and Clickbank university 2.0 together, and I could make the decision for my first trial. Since there is not a free trial for Clickbank, I would definitely try wealthy affiliate.

I wonder do you have a related video or introduction for both programs too? I find it more appealing sometimes and would love to view for later, thanks!

    Matt

    • Hi Matt, Thank You for reading and I’m glad you enjoyed it and found it helpful.

Wealthy Affiliate is indeed, a great place for beginners to start online in affiliate marketing, and it does have far more advantages over ClickBank University 2.0.

For anyone looking to try affiliate marketing on a budget, then WA is the place to be. I would still recommend utilizing the ClickBank affiliate programs though, as they have a huge directory with many quality products. Just do the due diligence when picking those products.

Wealthy Affiliate has recently come out with their own affiliate directory, and unlike ClickBank, WA pulls affiliate programs from many affiliate directories and combines them, making it easy to search from inside the Wealthy Affiliate platform. I’ll have an article covering this update soon, as it’s a huge added advantage to the WA membership, and at no extra cost. Check back later to read that as well, or check it out yourself from inside WA.

      Thanks again Matt.

      To Your Success,

      Darren
